At last I've found a way in again

Well finally I've made it back. I must be about the worst blogger around. I have been so busy lately between card making and working and the like. I was meant to have this afternoon to myself but the lass that was meant to be modelling for hubby was in a car crash and is on the road to hospital. Hopefully she's ok but I guess we will hear later.

I have now done two craft fairs and next week I do my third one. I am finding as I do them that there are a lot of things I don;t cover but I'm gradually getting there and making them.  I have now become a great friend of Craftsuprint these days. They have some fantastic stuff there.  I am also trying to get ideas together to make wedding invitaions.  I've done two weddings before but the brides knew what they wanted and I worked round that. Well I guess I better go try get something done. Hopefully I will get back soon. I hope you are all well and not getting too wet xx

My cards

These aren't watermarked but seems its easier to send from my phone lol

Back again at last

Hi there, I'm going to try this again.  I had major problems getting rid of my last attempt. Here's hoping I get it right this time.

I must try harder to be a better blogger. I was so busy with getting stuff ready for my first ever craft sales table. It went quite well and I even sold a few cards, got orders for a couple more. I've been asked told I'll get the chance of their next one. If I can book the time off I  hope to do another at the start of June. I am hoping I'm not selling either too dear or too cheap.  My new thing now is to put an insert in them as I go and label etc. should make for less stress. I also now know that I need to make more male cards and some more childrens ones too.

Last weekend I was at an Amy Shaw demo day and then next day I was at a workshop with her which were both fantastic. I did manage to spend loads but also not over spend. I have loads of new ideas now though.

I have since my last post I have found out how to watermark or at least put my name on my pics. It seems now I just need to find out how to resize and all that jazz. I'll get there.

Have a nice night. I do hope you are all safe and not too wet.  Hugs xxx

I think I've done it

I think I've found out how to do my watermarks so here's hoping :-)

Holiday time

Hello everyone. I must be the worlds worst blogger. I really need to start making more effort to get on here but with work and then making cards for orders I've either had no time or had no energy left. I am on holiday this week so will try harder.

I am hoping some of you can help me by telling me how to put a watermark on my pics before I put them on here.

I hope you've all had a good Easter. Hugs Maureen

Where has the week gone

Well now where did the last week go. It's almost friday again. I've not had time to draw breath. I spent the whole of today making cards for orders. I gave up about 3pm cause I kept dropping stuff.  I did manage to get my orders delivered and people happy with them.  I have to say thank you for all your kind words about my rather small blog. You may all regret offering to help me.

I should say a little about what I've been doing. I was at a great demo at Howdens Inverness last weekend. It was Erika Gunter. I picked up a few great tips. Oh and a few goodies as well. I managed to come home and buy a couple of new Impressabilies folders as well.

I will try to post some pics on here but I need to find out how to watermark them first. Any tips on that would be gratefully recieved.

Where to start

Ok be gentle with me as I've never blogged before.  My name is Maureen. I am 55 years old. Married to Charlie for very nearly 30 years. Where have the years gone.  I am a supervisor in a coffee shop up here in Moray. I've worked there for 26 years now but hey who's counting.

I started my crafting with knitting as a kid ( taught by my father ). I moved on to counted cross stitch and really enjoyed that but found that I was getting a sore neck and head doing all the counting and concentrating.  About 6 or 7 years ago while on a holiday in The Lakes my hubby showed me a decoupage kit that was reduced to clear in Lakeland Plastics. I thought I'd give it a go and it's taken off from there. It only cost me £7 for the kit but now it cots me a whole lot more than that lol.  I love most papercrafting styles and will try anything. At the minute I am loving stamping and using promarkers.

I am doing my first ever craft sales table at the end of next month and looking forward to that although at the minute I am struggling to decide how much to charge...
